Justified By His Blood
But now the righteousness of God apart from the law is revealed, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets, even the righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to all and on all who believe. For there is no difference; for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, whom God set forth as a propitiation by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance God had passed over the sins that were previously committed, to demonstrate at the present time His righteousness, that He might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus. (Romans 3:21-26 NKJV)
See that? “In His forbearance God had passed over the sins that were previously committed.” God doesn’t say, “You did it before so you might as well do it again.” He doesn’t say, “There’s already one of those on your permanent record, you might as well chalk up another sin just like the other one.” He doesn’t say, “You better commit that sin again, or I’ll tell everybody about all the other times and all the other things you’ve done.”
Instead, God says this: “This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them; And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more. Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin.” (Hebrews 10:16-18 KJV)
Once you’re alive in Christ, God doesn’t even remember all the things you’ve done. And He certainly doesn’t require you to keep paying for sins that are already remitted.
That puts God as far away from your oppressors, er, frenemies as day is from night. Run toward Him, and God will protect you. From the storm or in the storm, He will protect you.
For if we are beside ourselves, it is for God; if we are in our right mind, it is for you. For the love of Christ controls us, because we have concluded this: that one has died for all, therefore all have died; and he died for all, that those who live might no longer live for themselves but for him who for their sake died and was raised. ( 2 Corinthians 5:13-15 ESV)
"He died for us. Let’s live for Him." You’ve heard this one before, but have you used it on those people who are so invested in turning you against Jesus? Have you asked yourself why they put so much energy into convincing you to hate Jesus? Are they worried about your future or their own? How will they have to change if they don’t win you away from Jesus? What will they have to confess? What will they have to do to come clean?

Clean Enough to Wash With?
You know that voice in your head — or the friend who keeps trying to reason with you? Is it pure, or pure hell? Here’s how you can find out:
Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves. Therefore be wise as serpents and harmless as doves. (Matthew 10:16 NKJV)
BELOVED, DO not put faith in every spirit, but prove (test) the spirits to discover whether they proceed from God; for many false prophets have gone forth into the world. By this you may know (perceive and recognize) the Spirit of God: every spirit which acknowledges and confesses [the fact] that Jesus Christ (the Messiah) [actually] has become man and has come in the flesh is of God [has God for its source]; And every spirit which does not acknowledge and confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh [but would annul, destroy, sever, disunite Him] is not of God [does not proceed from Him]. This [nonconfession] is the [spirit] of the antichrist, [of] which you heard that it was coming, and now it is already in the world. ( 1 John 4:1-3AMP)
