What If I Fall?

What if i fall and hurt myself, would you know how to fix me?

Good question.

There are different kinds of falling, and while we will be crushed if we call on people to fix us, God is always faithful.

“No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.” (1 Corinthians 10:13)

“Behold, blessed is the one whom God reproves; therefore despise not the discipline of the Almighty. For he wounds, but he binds up; he shatters, but his hands heal.” (Job 5:17-18)

“Praise the Lord! For it is good to sing praises to our God; for it is pleasant, and a song of praise is fitting. The Lord builds up Jerusalem; he gathers the outcasts of Israel. He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. He determines the number of the stars; he gives to all of them their names. Great is our Lord, and abundant in power; his understanding is beyond measure. The Lord lifts up the humble; he casts the wicked to the ground.” (Psalm 147:1-6)

All that said, if you need more than to read Scripture, why not do what Beth Moore suggests and pray these Scriptures. If you’ve never seen her videos from Life Today, she’ll say, “I want that,” pointing to the Scripture. She’s a big proponent of what she calls “praying the Scriptures,” and it works.
