Most people just think they hold the future in their hands. Some people try to convince us that they hold our future in their hands.
Don’t you believe it.
Your God is bigger than your earthly “guide” — a person who is no better than you, but feels entitled to threaten (however subtly) your livelihood, your social standing, and everything else you value if you don’t obey him/her instead of God.
No one understands you like God does. No one cares for you or about you like God does. No one — no one — will stick with you through dark times the way God will.
This isn’t just something I read in a Book. Been there, doing that.
God holds the future in His hands
And every heart He understands.
On Him depend,
