What the Devil Doesn’t Want You to Know
Then the seventy returned with joy, saying, “Lord, even the demons are subject to us in Your name.” And He said to them, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rather rejoice because your names are written in heaven.” (Luke 10:17-20 NKJV)
Oh, yes I did. Oh, yes you can. I said yesterday that the devil is the ultimate legalist. He refused the grace of God, but he did and does have the power of death, hell, and the grave. Unless, that is, you’ve believed in your heart and confessed with your mouth that Jesus is your Lord and Savior.
If you’ve done that, you are cleansed and covered by the blood of Jesus. Satan has no right to punish you now because Jesus paid your sin debt. Next time Satan comes skulking around, rebuke him — read the law right back to him.
