Lord of the Universe or Lord of the Flies?
It’s one thing to be concerned about being downsized in this economy. Such concern belies too little faith in God, but it is understandable. It’s quite another thing to let dead people cast you in their operatic projections of fear and paranoia via the words they speak from the grave.
Such people were parasites in life, and they’re parasites in death. Using their voices, Satan (aka Beelzebub, or lord of the flies) whispers in your ear that the state is too big to defeat, that your best hope is a lie, that fear is the only sane response for intelligent folk because good and evil are just myths. There is no Savior, Satan says. Lose yourself in drugs, porn, TV, food, rambling philosophical discussions, and fantasies of success.
These parasites don’t feed you. They steal your joy, your faith, your motivation, the implanted Word (the salvation of your soul), and every good thing you have.
It’s time to cut off philosopher-capitalists like Jack Kerouac, Joseph Campbell, Ayn Rand, and Che Guevara who, even in death, earn royalties and recognition off your fears. Evict these parasites from your mind and your bank account. Turn your back on everybody — living or dead — who speaks death into your situation.
Turn your worries, both spiritual and financial, over to God. He knew you in your mother’s womb. He has a plan, specific down to the last detail, for your life. To God, you’re more than just another seer-sucker. He loves you with a boundlessness you can only imagine, and He wants only greater intimacy with you. No one on earth can do for you what He can. Call on Him to correct your course today.
