 Brain Food

You’ve heard it before: “Stupid Christians”. You may have heard it so often that you wonder if God prefers His children to be unquestioning, naive, and dull-witted. Does God want you stupid? This morning’s posts attempt to answer that question.

Study and be eager and do your utmost to present yourself to God approved (tested by trial), a workman who has no cause to be ashamed, correctly analyzing and accurately dividing [rightly handling and skillfully teaching] the Word of Truth. But avoid all empty (vain, useless, idle) talk, for it will lead people into more and more ungodliness. And their teaching [will devour; it] will eat its way like cancer or spread like gangrene. (2 Timothy 2:15-17 AMP)

“[G]ive attention to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine. Meditate on these things; give yourself entirely to them, that your progress may be evident to all. Take heed to yourself and to the doctrine. Continue in them, for in doing this you will save both yourself and those who hear you. (1 Timothy 4:13, 15-16 NKJV)
